Mr. Smith at Men’s Fashion Week

Mr. Smith has launched into 2019 working with a range of brands for the Men’s Autumn-Winter 2019 fashion season. Mr. Smith helped deliver looks for several runway presentations across London and Paris, with highlights including partnering with JordanLuca, Namacheko, Ami Paris, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin. For a full rundown of our schedule, visit our website.

JordanLuca

One of the first shows to kick off London Men’s Fashion Week was JordanLuca, who explored the mind of a modern-day hedonist. With assistance from legendary milliner Stephen Jones, this show presented a striking image of a man compelled by vice. Hair Lead Declan Sheils created a dishevelled, morning-after hair using Mr. Smith’s The Foundation to bring out natural texture, followed by Mr. Smith Mousse to create a damp look. Finishing touches were added with the Serum to create separation.

Namacheko

In Paris, Mr. Smith Creative Director Freda Rossidis worked with Namacheko for their FW19 men’s collection. Including references to Vincent Van Gogh and Frank Lloyd Wright, Namacheko presented its own lively take on tailoring. Rossidis created colourful businessman-like parts with Mr. Smith Texture Spray, Serum, and Hairspray to create a healthy look with hold.

Ami Paris

Paris Label Ami reflected on its roots with a reverent presentation of Parisian sophistication and romance. Hair Lead Tomihiro Ohashi focused on each models’ individual beauty, using Mr. Smith products to elevate the natural character of their hair. To achieve the look, The Foundation, Sea Salt Spray, and Texture Spray were worked through damp hair and left to dry naturally, with Mr. Smith Hairspray providing hold for the final look.

Ludovic de Saint Sernin

Concluding our work on Paris Men’s Fashion Week was the Ludovic de Saint Sernin FW19 show. Marking the designer’s first runway presentation, the show was an ode to 90s glitz and sex appeal, updated with androgyny. Louis Ghewy led the hair team for Mr. Smith, creating effortless glamour with The Foundation as a base, enhancing models’ natural hair with Texture Spray, and finishing with Serum to add a final healthy sheen.

As always, it was a pleasure to collaborate with such an impressive range of brands and stylists to create runway-ready hair at the London and Paris events. We’re now looking forward to working with even more brands on the upcoming women’s fashion week.
